Firefighters quickly contained a fast-moving house fire in New Brunswick early Saturday morning, preventing extensive damage and ensuring the safety of nearby residents.Crews were dispatched to the single-digit block of Ellen Street shortly before 2:25 a.m. following reports of a fire at a two-and-a-half-story home.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed flames from the structure and immediately struck a second alarm for additional manpower.
Two lines were deployed to put water on the fire, and firefighters quickly entered the home to locate and extinguish the blaze. By 2:40 a.m., the fire was declared under control.
Two individuals received medical attention from EMS at the scene, though their injuries were not reported as severe.The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities have not released additional details at this time.
