NJ Man Charged with Explicit Contact, Child Endangerment

Authorities in Bergen County announced the arrest of 25-year-old Andrew Salamone of Moonachie on charges of aggravated explicit contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella stated that the arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Moonachie Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Behrens.

According to Bergen County officials, on Thursday, November 21, the Moonachie Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged explicit contact of two juveniles that had occurred in the past.

An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Moonachie Police Department revealed that Andrew Salamone had explicit contact with the juveniles on multiple occasions when the children were under the age of sixteen in Moonachie.

As a result of the investigation, on Friday, November 22, Andrew Salamone was arrested in Paramus and charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated explicit contact, first-degree aggravated explicit contact, and three counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Salamone was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance at Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
