A motor vehicle crash in Kearny early Friday morning has left a Pennsylvania man in critical condition and resulted in the arrest of a Jersey City woman, according to a statement released by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office. The collision occurred around 12:30 a.m. on November 15, 2024, near the intersection of Newark-Jersey City Turnpike and Fish House Road.
Responding officers from the Kearny Police Department discovered a Jeep Compass had collided with a Ford F-150.
The driver of the Ford, a 56-year-old man from Pennsylvania, suffered severe injuries and was transported to Jersey City Medical Center. He remains in critical condition, the statement added.
The investigation led to the arrest of the Jeep's driver, 33-year-old Maria Molesky of Jersey City.
Officials said Molesky was issued motor vehicle summonses for Reckless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated, according to the statement released by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Kearny Police Department are continuing their investigation.Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office at 201-915-1345 or leave an anonymous tip through their website.
