Four-Alarm Fire in Jersey City Displaces 26 Residents, Two Firefighters Injured

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that a four-alarm fire that broke out on Friday, November 8th is under investigation by the Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force and the Jersey City Fire Department.

The Jersey City Fire Department received reports of a fire at 3507 Kennedy Boulevard shortly before 11 p.m.

Emergency responders arrived to find heavy smoke and flames pouring from the building.

The fire, believed to have started in a ground-floor business, quickly spread to nearby residential units, displacing 26 residents.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling the blaze and were treated at Jersey City Medical Center.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire, and the investigation remains ongoing.
