Happy November, New Jersey!
We're starting the month on an unseasonably warm note, with 70 degrees as of 4:30 a.m. in Newark, and partly cloudy skies greeting early risers. But don't get too comfortable in the warmth—a cold front moving in from the west is expected to bring a bit of rain, though the showers will be light and won't last long across much of the region.
According to the National Weather Service, there's a slight chance of sprinkles between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., with clouds sticking around through mid-morning before gradually clearing up.
Daytime temperatures will rise near 80 degrees, giving us one last taste of warmth before a cool-down takes over for the weekend.
By tonight, skies will clear out, with temperatures dropping to around 47 degrees.Expect above-normal temperatures to stick around even as we head into the weekend, but don't forget to keep a sweater nearby—fall's cooler touch is on its way.
