Police in Elizabeth are investigating a stabbing that left one person injured early Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 3:50 a.m. in the 200 block of 3rd Street.
Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, they discovered a victim suffering from stab wounds.
The individual was transported to a hospital for treatment and remains under medical care.
The motive for the stabbing is currently under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
