Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Thursday, October 24, Javier Erazo, 21, of Pleasantville, was sentenced to a four-year term in New Jersey State Prison by the Honorable Dorothy Incarvito-Garrabrant, J.S.C. following his plea of guilty to Luring (Enticing a Child by Various Means).
Upon his release from prison, County officials stated the defendant will be placed on Parole Supervision for Life and be required to register as an offender under Megan’s Law.
According to Atlantic County officials, the investigation began when the Atlantic City Police Department received information on June 25, 2024, that Erazo was traveling to an Atlantic City park to meet up with a 13-year-old girl that he met on Snapchat for purposes of engaging in explicit activity.
Upon arrival, the Atlantic City Police Department observed Erazo with the 13-year-old girl, officials say.
Atlantic City Police said Erazo later admitted to engaging in explicit chat with the 13-year-old girl via Snapchat and Roblox, with the intention of engaging in explicit relations with her.
County officials stated that Erazo subsequently was charged with Luring (Enticing a Child by Various Means) and pled guilty on August 22, 2024.
