Newark police are searching for suspects involved in the theft and unauthorized use of a woman's credit cards, which were stolen from her vehicle on October 5, 2024.
According to Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé, the victim had left her purse, containing several credit cards, inside her vehicle parked in the 100 block of Richelieu Terrace at approximately 10:30 p.m.
It is believed the vehicle may have been unlocked.
Shortly after, the victim received alerts that her cards were used at the Cloud 9 Smoke Shop and Royal Taste of Caribbean Restaurant on Myrtle Avenue in Irvington.
The suspects were captured on surveillance footage making purchases at both locations.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspects to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
