Newark police are investigating a stabbing that left a woman injured near the Georgia King Village housing complex on Monday evening.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé, the incident occurred around 7:38 p.m.
Officers patrolling the 100 block of Georgia King Village were flagged down by a woman who reported that she had been stabbed during an altercation with another woman she knew.
Police escorted the victim to University Hospital, where she is currently in stable condition.
The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more details about the incident.
