Newark Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the city’s North Ward on Monday evening.
According to authorities, gunfire erupted near 192 Ridger Street just before 6:30 p.m., prompting a swift police response.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found shell casings but did not locate any victims.
After canvassing the area, no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene, and no arrests have been made as of yet.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
