Good Monday morning! As we kick off the new week, Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to unseasonably warm and mild temperatures.
It certainly won’t feel like October today — more like a taste of early July.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will reach the upper 70s to low 80s, with plenty of sunshine throughout the day.
Today’s forecast calls for a high near 81 degrees, with a light west wind at 3 to 7 mph. Tonight, NWS forecasters say it will stay mostly clear with a low of around 57 degrees.
It’s shaping up to be a perfect day for one last visit to the beach, a stroll along the boardwalk, or even a leisurely lunch by the water.
