A brisk start to Saturday morning in Newark and across North Jersey will soon give way to a picture-perfect day, as a warmup is set to begin this weekend and continue into the coming week.
At 6 a.m., temperatures hovered around 51 degrees, but once the sun rises, the early chill will fade, making way for clear skies and plenty of sunshine.
For my family and friends in Newark, The National Weather Service predicts a beautiful day ahead with a high near 71 degrees and light winds.
Tonight will remain clear, with temperatures dropping to around 48 degrees.
