Bloomfield Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of a Newark resident on Monday night.
According to authorities, the accident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on Broughton Avenue after several 911 calls from residents reported the crash.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the motorcyclist, identified as Mr. Cristobal Moronta of Newark, lying on the ground with severe injuries.
Despite efforts to assist, Moronta succumbed to his injuries.
Officials have stated that no criminal activity is suspected in connection with the accident, and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office is not involved in the investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
