Authorities in Bergen County are investigating a pedestrian accident that left a person severely injured in Hackensack on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Parkway and Essex Street.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the victim unconscious, suffering from head trauma after being struck by a vehicle.
The individual was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors have listed them in critical condition.
An accident investigation team was called to the scene to assist in the ongoing investigation.
