Paterson Police Investigate Shooting of 28-Year-Old Man

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes has confirmed an ongoing investigation into a shooting that took place on the afternoon of October 16.

Paterson Police were dispatched at approximately 3:09 p.m. to the area of 12th Avenue and East 22nd Street after receiving reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that a 28-year-old male from Paterson had arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The victim had been transported to the hospital via private vehicle.

Police have since located a possible crime scene, and the investigation remains active.
