Pedestrian Killed in Train Strike at Rahway Station

NJ Transit Police are investigating a fatal incident where a Northeast Corridor train struck and killed a pedestrian on the tracks in Union County.Ice CreamThe incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15.

According to transit officials, train 3963, which departed from Penn Station, New York, at 7:12 p.m. and was en route to Trenton with a scheduled arrival at 8:36 p.m., fatally injured an adult male at Rahway station.

NJ Transit officials said the 450 passengers and crew members on board were unharmed.

As a result of the incident, both Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coastline services were temporarily suspended but have since resumed.

The NJ Transit Police are leading the investigation into the cause of the accident.Ice Cream
