Residents in Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to another cold morning. At 4:30 a.m., temperatures were 45 degrees.In other parts of the region, the chill is even more pronounced, with Sparta just above freezing, Paterson at 41 degrees, and Morristown at 39 degrees.
Today's forecast is similar to Tuesday's, though with slightly less wind. This will be the coldest day of the week, with mainly clear skies expected to persist throughout the day.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 58 degrees, accompanied by a northwest wind of 8 to 16 mph.
Tonight, expect mostly clear skies and a low of around 40 degrees.
