Morris County authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Tuesday night on NJ-23 near Route 287 in Riverdale.
Police were dispatched to the scene around 11 p.m. following reports of a collision with injuries.
Upon arrival, officers found the crash in the northbound lanes of the highway.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Both directions of NJ-23 were temporarily closed as police conducted their investigation.
Authorities have not provided further details on additional injuries or the circumstances surrounding the crash.
