East Orange police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred late Sunday night in the 40s block of New Street.
The incident was reported around 11 p.m. after a ShotSpotter device detected 14 rounds fired in the neighborhood.
When police arrived, they discovered several shell casings but found no injuries or victims after canvassing the area.
The suspect responsible for the gunfire remains at large, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances behind the incident.
No arrests have been made at this time.
