Police are searching for an armed suspect who opened fire on a man in Newark early Sunday morning, leaving him injured. The shooting occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the area of North 6th Street and Park Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
Authorities are actively investigating the motive behind the attack, and no further details have been released at this time.
