Maplewood police took a man and a teenager into custody on Tuesday after residents reported seeing the pair on private property.
Officers responded to the area of Parker Avenue and Peachtree Road after receiving reports of individuals trespassing in backyards.
Upon arrival, they encountered 18-year-old Mr. Arron Ellis of Irvington and a 17-year-old juvenile who matched the description provided by the caller.
Following an investigation at the scene, police arrested Ellis due to an outstanding warrant from the Union County Sheriff's Office.
The juvenile was released into the care of a guardian.
The incident is a reminder for residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to authorities.
