ALERT: Newark Police Search for Missing 90-Year-Old Woman Suffering from Alzheimer's Disease UPDATE: Found Safe

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help locating Alida Petit-Frere, 90, of Newark, who was reported missing today, Thursday, October 3.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé stated Ms. Petit-Frere, who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease, was last seen at St. Paul Avenue near Cliff Street at 8 a.m.

She is described as 4’10” tall and 100 pounds, with gray and white hair, officials said.

Officials say Ms. Petit-Frere was wearing a multi-colored gown with a floral pattern of gray and dark brown.

According to officials, she was also wearing a dark gray hair bonnet, according to officials.
