Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the suspect who took a victim’s jacket from a fast food restaurant on September 29.
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said Police Officers responded to the theft at McDonald’s in the 100 block of Ferry Street.While eating breakfast at approximately 9:30 a.m., the victim placed his North Face jacket on an adjacent seat, not realizing it was taken by the suspect, who was captured on surveillance video, according to officials.
Officials say Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
