A tragic crash in a Paterson neighborhood on Wednesday night left one teenage boy dead and another seriously injured after they were struck by a vehicle.
The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. near 419 Madison Avenue.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving numerous reports of a pedestrian accident.
Upon arrival, police and EMS found two severely injured juveniles who appeared to have been occupying a motorized bike.
Both victims were immediately transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment.
One of the teens was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the other remains in serious condition.
Police and detectives are investigating the cause of the crash and continue to work the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
