Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to a cool 60 degrees this Sunday morning, with scattered showers expected to linger throughout the day.If you're heading out for Sunday service at your house of worship or other morning plans, it's a good idea to keep an umbrella and rain jacket handy.
According to the National Weather Service, light rain is moving across the area, though much precipitation isn't reaching the ground.
However, sporadic showers are expected to persist through the day.
The NWS forecast calls for a 30% chance of showers, cloudy skies, and a steady temperature of around 63 degrees. Northeast winds will blow at 11 to 13 mph.
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with a low of around 64 degrees.
