The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Sunday morning, leaving one person dead.
The incident took place shortly before 2 a.m. near the intersection of Wood Street and Wait Street in Paterson.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a collision involving multiple vehicles.
One individual was severely injured and tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
The cause of the crash is under active investigation, and authorities have yet to release additional details.
