Authorities in Hudson County announced that the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit has charged a 52-year-old man in connection with a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Harrison on May 17.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez stated Robert Marmora, of Kearny, is charged with Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Collision, Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and Endangering an Injured Victim.
Officials said he was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, and released pending his first court appearance, which is tentatively scheduled for October 17, 2024.
Just after 2 a.m. on May 17, 2024, the Harrison Police Department was notified of a pedestrian struck in the area of Harrison Avenue and South 5th Street, authorities say.
According to officials, responding officers located an injured female victim, later identified as a 66-year-old Harrison woman.
