Jersey City Fire Under Investigation; Woman Found Unresponsive

Authorities in Hudson County announced that the Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force and the Jersey City Fire Department are investigating a fire that critically injured a female on Tuesday, September 24.AdHudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said shortly after 6:30 a.m., the Jersey City Fire Department received a report of a fire at 81 Wade Street.

Responding firefighters found a fire in the first-floor apartment of the residential building, officials stated.

According to officials, an unresponsive 61-year-old female was located with serious injuries.

She was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment, where she remains in critical but stable condition, officials said.AdOfficials say the Cause and Origin of the fire remain under investigation by the Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force and the Jersey City Fire Department.
