Three Men Charged with Sexually Assaulting, Robbing Two Women in Jersey City

Authorities in Hudson County announced the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit has arrested three men following an investigation of a report that two women were robbed and sexually assaulted inside of a Jersey City apartment.AdOfficials stated that Mohamed Mohamed, 24, Abdalla Abdelsalam Elsayed, 20, and Mahmoud Hegazi, 18, all of Jersey City, are being charged with several charges that include:

-Two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault

-Two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault

-Two counts of Robbery

-Two counts of Kidnapping, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose

-Unlawful Possession of a Weapon

-Two counts of Criminal Restraint, two counts of Terroristic Threats

-Conspiracy to Commit Robber, two counts of Theft by Extortion

-Two counts of Computer Criminal Activity.

The defendants were arrested at their residences on Friday, September 20, and are being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility, according to officials.

Officials said the State has filed a Motion to detain all three defendants, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, September 25.

Authorities say on Wednesday, September 11, the Special Victims Unit was notified that two women reported being robbed and sexually assaulted inside an apartment on Bergen Avenue in Jersey City.

During the investigation, it was determined the female victims arranged to meet the three defendants, officials say. AdWhile at the apartment, the women were held against their will and sexually assaulted, officials stated,

According to officials, a gun was shown, and money was stolen from the victims.
