Authorities are investigating a deadly fire that broke out early Friday morning at a residence in Paterson, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.At approximately 2:32 a.m., the Paterson Fire Department responded to a call at 71 North 7th Street, where they found a home engulfed in flames.
Two residents, a 69-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, managed to escape the blaze unharmed.
However, after firefighters extinguished the fire, the bodies of two other individuals were discovered inside the home.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed and are pending investigation by the Medical Examiner's Office.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
