A violent crash on the Garden State Parkway in Middlesex County late Saturday night left two people dead and one in grave condition after a vehicle burst into flames.Preliminary reports revealed that the crash occurred just before midnight in the northbound lanes near mile marker 131.9 in Woodbridge.
NJ State Police responded to the scene and closed two center lanes to investigate the incident.
Emergency responders arrived to find a vehicle engulfed in flames with occupants trapped inside.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, but tragically, at least two individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third person suffered life-threatening burns, and as of 4:30 a.m., their condition had not been confirmed.
The NJ State Police Crime Scene Unit is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash, which remains active and ongoing.
