Newark authorities have arrested three suspects in connection with a shooting that left a man injured in the city’s West Ward on Friday evening.
According to Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé, the shooting occurred around 7:57 p.m. on the 400 block of South 16th Street. When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. A handgun was also recovered at the scene.
The injured man was transported to University Hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.
Police quickly detained three individuals believed to be involved in the incident as the investigation continues.
