On early Tuesday morning, a 73-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross NJ Route 23 South in West Milford.
Authorities in Passaic County reported that the West Milford Police Department responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m.
The victim, identified as Mod A. Khader from Lincoln Park, was transported to Chilton Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and passed away at approximately 8:40 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
