A 63-year-old Newark man is in serious condition following a pedestrian accident early Tuesday morning on Route 1 in Linden.
Linden Police Captain Christopher Guenther reported that the crash occurred around 12:00 a.m. in the 1700 block of the highway.
A 2018 Honda CRV traveling southbound struck the man, who was treated at the scene before being transported to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported, and the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators.
