New Jersey State Police are investigating a crash that left one motorcyclist dead and another injured on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County on Sunday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 1 p.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 81.6 in Toms River.
Troopers responded to reports of a crash and found two motorcycles that had collided on the highway.
One of the riders was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was rushed to a nearby hospital by EMS.
The second victim’s injuries were not reported as life-threatening.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. Further details have not yet been released.
