Early September is bringing fall-like temperatures to North Jersey, with the barometer dropping into the low 50s in many areas this Sunday morning.

In spots like Sussex, Bergen, and Passaic counties, temperatures have dipped even further, hitting the mid-40s.

If you're heading out for early morning worship or activities, a jacket—and perhaps even a warm hat—will be necessary to fend off the cool air.

However, as the day progresses, temperatures will rise, allowing you to shed those extra layers.

The National Weather Service forecasts a sunny day with a high near 72 degrees and a northwest wind of 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

While it may be chilly in the morning, the day promises to stay dry, with no precipitation on the radar, especially if you are heading out to the Dominican Day Parade and festivities in Paterson.

As the evening approaches, expect temperatures to drop again, with a clear night and a low of around 53 degrees, so keep that warm jacket handy for later.

Enjoy the beautiful fall weather in North Jersey!
