The victim’s older brother has been charged with his murder.

According to a statement released by the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office, Carl Agyemang, 26, has been charged with first-degree murder and weapons offenses following the fatal stabbing of his brother, Floyd Agyemang, after an argument at their family home on August 24.

The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday when Willingboro Township police officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence on Hepburn Lane.

Upon arriving, officers found Floyd Agyemang suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

He was rushed to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was pronounced dead later that evening, just after 10:30 p.m.

Carl Agyemang fled the scene on foot but was apprehended nearby by Willingboro police shortly after the incident.

Officers recovered a knife believed to be the weapon used in the attack.

Carl Agyemang is currently being held in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly, awaiting a detention hearing in Superior Court. Prosecutors plan to present the case to a grand jury for possible indictment.

An autopsy conducted by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood confirmed that Floyd Agyemang died from the stab wound, and his death has been ruled a homicide.
