Authorities in Middlesex County are searching for as many as four suspects involved in the armed robbery of a FedEx driver in Edison on Thursday evening.
The incident took place on Plainfield Avenue just before 8:40 p.m.
According to preliminary reports, the suspects, described as Hispanic men, approached the driver, forced him to the ground at gunpoint and tied him up.
Initial reports revealed that they then proceeded to steal several boxes from the delivery truck before loading them into a getaway vehicle.
The suspects were last seen heading northbound toward the Piscataway/South Plainfield area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, and police have not released further details about the robbery.
No additional information has been made available at this time, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
