Newark and the North Jersey region are enjoying a beautiful start to Labor Day, with temperatures waking up to a comfortable 71 degrees this Monday morning.
As the unofficial end to summer 2024 approaches, the National Weather Service promises a great day ahead with mostly sunny skies and a high near 79 degrees.
The day may see partly to mostly cloudy conditions and while a stray shower cannot be completely ruled out, it is not expected to disrupt the day's activities.
Mild winds will blow from the northwest at around 10 mph, adding to the day's pleasant feel.
As the evening sets in, the weather will remain mostly clear, with a low of around 56 degrees.
This perfect end-of-summer weather is an excellent opportunity for locals to get outdoors and enjoy the holiday.
So, I recommend grabbing your picnic baskets and heading to your favorite park to bid summer a cheerful farewell. Enjoy your day, NJ!
