Authorities in East Orange are investigating a serious crash involving two motorcycles at a busy intersection on Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred around 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of Dodd Street and Thomas Boulevard.
When police arrived on the scene, they found two motorcycles badly damaged, with both drivers ejected from their vehicles.
One of the riders sustained severe injuries and both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash is currently under active investigation.
Police closed the intersection while crime scene investigators worked to determine what led to the wreck. It has not been confirmed if a vehicle was involved in this incident at this time.
