Bergen County Councilwoman Arrested on Embezzlement Charges in Connecticut

A Bergen County councilwoman was taken into custody by New Canaan Police on August 22, 2024, after turning herself in on an active arrest warrant stemming from an embezzlement investigation.AdThe investigation, which began in July 2024, has led to several charges against Hillsdale Councilwoman Abby Lundy, 60,  including Larceny in the First Degree, Forgery in the Third Degree, and Second Degree Forging of a Public Record.

Lundy was processed at New Canaan Police Headquarters and remains in custody on a $100,000 bond.

She was been transported to Stamford Superior Court.

Authorities have yet to release specific details surrounding the case.

However, according to a police report obtained by RLS Media, the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.AdRLS Media has submitted a request for the probable cause affidavit from the New Canaan Police Department for further details on the arrest.
