The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has confirmed an active and ongoing investigation into the tragic event that took place in the 200 block of West Bigelow Street.

According to sources and witnesses familiar with the case, the situation began when two armed men reportedly attempted to rob a victim who was inside a vehicle.

Witnesses who spoke to RLS Media anonymously claimed that during the robbery attempt, the victim, in a panic, accelerated the vehicle to escape.

One of the suspects fled the scene, while the other suspect somehow became trapped between the motorcycle and the fleeing vehicle.

This resulted in severe injuries, including burns, which led to the suspect's death.

The injured man was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses said the victim of the robbery flagged down police officers in the 200 block of Badger Avenue and reported the incident.

Police found two guns during the search of the area and investigation.
