A severe stabbing incident in Paterson has left a child critically injured and fighting for their life, prompting an investigation by local authorities.
Paterson Police responded to a distress call from 390 10th Avenue just before 4 p.m. today.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a girl, reported to be as young as five years old, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Immediate life-saving measures were taken at the scene, where CPR was administered to the severely injured child. The young female victim was then transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in serious condition.
Details regarding the motive and circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain unclear, as the investigation is currently active and ongoing.
Authorities are looking for the child’s aunt to question her for the stabbing.
