The Irvington Township School District is excited to introduce its Early Childhood Department, a program dedicated to preparing the youngest learners, ages 3 to 5, for a journey of discovery, growth, and academic success.
Officials emphasized the district's commitment to providing every child with a strong start, laying the foundation for lifelong learning in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
The Early Childhood program offers a curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of preschool-aged children, emphasizing a balance of academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
The program is designed to ensure students are well-prepared for success in kindergarten and beyond.
It offers a culturally responsive approach that supports the whole child, focusing on fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through research-based practices.
“Our highly qualified and caring educators understand the unique needs of early learners,” said district officials. “They use meaningful learning experiences to engage children in a way that encourages their natural curiosity and love of learning.”
In addition to its strong educational focus, the Early Childhood Department also prioritizes family and community involvement.
The district offers a variety of parent workshops, family events, and volunteer opportunities to build strong partnerships with parents and caregivers. “We are committed to supporting families every step of the way,” the school officials added.
Irvington’s Early Childhood program still has available spots in the preschool program. Families interested in learning more can visit the program's website or call to schedule a visit.
Together, the district believes, they can create a bright and promising future for their children.
