Paterson police were called to East 30th Street following reports of shots fired in the area early Tuesday morning.
Arriving shortly after midnight, officers conducted a thorough search and discovered a shell casing at the scene.
Despite the evidence of gunfire, no injuries have been reported. Authorities extensively canvassed the neighborhood but did not find any victims or additional evidence.
Currently, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
The investigation remains active as Paterson police continue to gather information and seek out potential witnesses to shed light on the events leading up to the gunfire.
