One New Jersey Lottery Ticket Wins $1,000,000

NJ Lottery officials announced there was one second-tier prizewinning ticket sold for the Friday, August 16, drawing that matched five of the five white balls drawn winning the $1,000,000 prize.

Officials stated that ticket was sold at Basic Food Mart, 498 Chestnut St., Union in Union County.

AdThere was one third-tier prizewinning ticket sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize, officials said. 

Officials say that ticket was purchased at ShopRite of Bayonne #119, 583 Avenue C, Bayonne in Hudson County.

In addition to the second and third-tier prizes won, 14 players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500, authorities say. 

Four of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prizes to $1,500, according to officials. 

Lottery officials say, 45,189 other New Jersey players took home $200,624 in prizes ranging from $2 to $600.AdOfficials said the winning numbers for the Friday, August 16, drawing were: 22, 38, 48, 51, and 61.

The Gold Mega Ball was 05, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03, authorities say.
