A serious motorcycle accident occurred late Friday evening on I-76 southbound in Gloucester City, prompting an extensive investigation by Camden County authorities.
The collision, reported around 10 p.m., left one motorcyclist severely injured.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the victim unconscious and unresponsive on the roadway.
Life-saving CPR was administered before the individual was transported to a local hospital for further medical attention. As of 3 a.m. Saturday, the injuries were still classified as severe.
Following the incident, police temporarily shut down all southbound traffic on I-76 to facilitate an active investigation into the cause of the crash.
