A 72-year-old Wayne resident has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a female employee at a local medical office.
According to a statement released by Wayne Police, officers responded to a call on the afternoon of August 12 after an employee reported that a male patient had assaulted her.
Police said the woman, visibly shaken, told police that while she was alone in a room with the patient, he suddenly groped her by grabbing her breast and forcibly kissed her.
After she demanded that he stop, the man told her to remain silent before leaving the office.
The employee immediately informed her colleagues, who then contacted the police.
She later provided a video statement to detectives at Wayne Police Headquarters, detailing the incident and providing the suspect’s identification. A background check revealed that the suspect had been previously arrested for a similar offense.
That evening, Wayne Police said detectives arrested the suspect, Mr. Mujic Fehim, at his Wayne residence.
Fehim has been charged with criminal sexual contact and was transported to the Passaic County Jail, where he awaits a detention hearing.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities urge any potential witnesses to come forward.
