A pedestrian was seriously injured in an early morning accident in Tinton Falls on Monday.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, which occurred around 2:50 a.m. near the intersection of Sycamore Avenue and Shrewsbury Avenue.
Emergency responders were dispatched following reports of an injured person at the location.
Upon arrival, they found an unidentified individual who had been struck by a vehicle, sustaining severe injuries. The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Tinton Falls Police Department has activated an accident investigation team to assist with the ongoing investigation.
