An early morning shooting in Jersey City has prompted a search for the suspect who fired multiple shots into a building.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Warner Avenue around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Jersey City Police were alerted to gunfire in the neighborhood and upon arrival, they discovered multiple shell casings and observed that a building had been struck by bullets.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported inside the building.
Following the shooting, officers detained several individuals believed to have information about the incident.
The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation as authorities work to identify and apprehend the suspect who fled the scene.
